After School & Weekend Program
This program component will increase the quality and intensity of intervention services by recruiting, training and supervising paraprofessionals and university students to assist with after school prgrams including in-home intervention, training and support. This project is designed to supplement existing services in order to leverage resources and enhance program success for children and families. The program will provide up to 10 hours a week of programming.
This program will train high school students to act as mentors to children affected by the Autism Spectrum Disorder. Research has shown that older peers have a great influence on younger children as it relates to development and values support.
The H.E.L.P. Program will provide training in CPR Certification, Childcare training, American Sign Language Home Economics, Conflict Resolution/Mediation and Anger Management
The program is seeking funding to train teen mentors that will serve families with autistic children.
